NOTE FROM THE JURORS:
Dear Photographers,
Thank you for your incredible submissions to the "A Thousand Words" open call. Your work has brought powerful stories to life, showcasing your talent, vision, and dedication.
Curating exhibitions is always a challenge for me, especially when each photograph offers such unique perspectives. It's difficult to select winners when every submission holds value and meaning. In addition to seeking out technically strong work, I look for images that evoke emotion, provoke thought, and offer a window into the human experience. Striking the right balance between technical skill and emotional resonance is never an easy task.
I’m grateful for the time and effort you’ve invested in sharing your work. Together, your contributions have created a rich exhibition that captures a wide range of human experience. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Sincerely,
Rollence Patugan
THEME:
We invite photographers to submit a series of images that speak volumes, whether each individual photo tells a compelling story on its own or the images come together to create a cohesive visual dialogue. This is an opportunity to explore the power of imagery, where a single frame or a collection of frames can evoke deep narratives, emotions, and connections.
Submit a series of single images with profound meaning, as long as they work together harmoniously, or images that interact and converse with each other.
Show us how your photography can tell a thousand words, whether through the power of each or the synergy of many. We look forward to seeing your visual stories!
