A LETTER TO THE ENTRANTS FROM MICHAEL KIRCHOFF:
"I want to express my gratitude to each and every person who entered the Our Dramatic Landscape exhibition. The entries were inspired, diverse, honoring, sentimental, and most certainly dramatic. I never came across a set of images that I did not spend time with. The overall quality of the submissions was even more than expected, and I found making my final decisions to be quite difficult. Every image fit the bill for the words I’d written in the call for this exhibition in so many ways. Frankly, looking back once more at everything makes me think that my words were lacking in their description of what I was aiming for. You’ve presented me the amazing possibilities available to the adventurer in all of us, and for that I am extremely grateful. You have all done a great service to this planet by honoring the environment with your wonderful photographs. You stepped up to the plate. You put your best foot forward. You brought the drama and the light. But most important of all, you brought your experiences to me with all the passion and expertise that I could have ever hoped for. Thank you all."
