BIXBY BRIDGE BIG SUR by Chris Axe

CURATOR STEVE ZMAK: "Chris Axe's "Bixby Bridge Big Sur" gives viewers a glimpse of a dreamy land and seascape beyond the perception of our human vision. The streaking lights lacing along Highway 1, the extremely long exposure of the ocean, and exaggerated Milky Way all contribute to the fantasy feel of this composition."

CHRIS AXE: "This photograph is a three image panorama. The foreground and bridge were exposed for 5 minutes at f2.8 and ISO 1250. The additional sky images were exposed at f2.8 for 30 seconds at ISO 2000. The light streak is of a south bound car.

Having a lifetime passion for photography and a graduate of Brooks Institute, in recent years, I have taken an avid interest in outdoor photography. Living on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, it was a natural inclination to take up outdoor and fine art photography."
